Meet Your Teacher

Dr Raphael Jay Adjani MBACP is a Certified Teacher of Mindful Self-Compassion: highly experienced in teaching both online and in-person.

Raphael is also:

• Dedicated to helping others become their most authentic, intelligent, and creative selves.
• Works as a psychotherapist, mentor, academic researcher, and teacher-trainer in meditation, yoga, art, and dance-theater.
• Certified MSC Mindful Self-Compassion teacher with six years of facilitation experience.
• Embodies mindfulness, common humanity, and compassionate action in daily life—extending care to humans, animals, and nature.
• Believes MSC’s structured, research-based approach fosters personal transformation—describing it as a "surfboard to dance the waves of life."
• Passionate about teaching LOMSC and creating safe, supportive spaces for people of all ages and backgrounds.
• Experienced in working with diverse cultures and nationalities, particularly with marginalized and disempowered communities, including LGBTQ , BIPOC, refugees, disabled individuals, and women in patriarchal societies.
